So here's the project I was going to share.
I found a great bow holder that I knew my girls would love! Fortunately, she also offered a template!
You can find the tutorial and template here*.
I did a few things differently. First off, I used scrapbook paper and Mod Podged it to the cardboard.
Then I used a length of elastic to tie my tulle onto.
I also hot glued the ribbons the bows would be hanging on onto the bodice.
I love taking macro pics!
Bows on.
Love macro pics!
Then I saw, but didn't save the link, a bow and headband holder. So rather than choose between the two, I combined them!
Painted my frame, had some issues with the paint, so I sanded it for a rustic look. When all else fails, go for the rustic look!
Had some these lying around, so I hot-glued them to 3 of the edges.
The frame didn't have a hanger, so I gave it one.
And the nails ended up being a bit too long!
Trusty ole ribbon
hot-glued to the frame and voila! Nails gone!
Hang the headbands.
And thar she be!
Fun, simple and girly!
Baby and I are doing fine. Mindy requested her birth story, which I had already planned on writing about, and, barring any deep aversions to blood and gore (you can just skip!), that will hopefully be the next post!
Until then, adios!
